Intelligent Nutrients
Launched in 2008, Intelligent Nutrients is one of the first U.S. health and beauty care companies to be U.S.D.A. certified organic. The brand is the brain child of environmentalist, business leader and organic guru Horst Rechelbacher, founder of Aveda. Rechelbacher has made it his quest to provide products that are healthy and non-toxic, made with certified organic food-grade ingredients made without petrochemicals, parabens and synthetic fragrances. In fact, many of the certified organic ingredients in his Intelligent Nutrients Conditioner, Shampoo and hair care line as well the Intelligent Nutrients Skin Care line, comes from Rechelbacher's own organic farm in Wisconsin. The company's motto is "Everything we put in and on our bodies must be nutritious and safe."
Each Intelligent Nutrients product contains the Intelllimune Seed Oil Complex, a super-anti-oxidant and synergistic blend of anti-aging ingredients including black cumin, cranberry seed, pumpkin, red grape and red raspberry oils. Intelligent Nutrients hair care and skin care products are made with an all-natural, certified organic, food-based cosmetic preservative system. It is free of parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates, sulfates, dioxanes and silicone.
Since the mid 1960's, Rechelbacher dedicated himself to analyzing the chemical constitution of plants, and pioneered flower and plant-based flavor-aroma-therapy, functional foods, and nutraceuticals to enhance personal health and wellbeing. Horst began his career in 1965 as a hairstylist, garnering awards along the way and launching his own product line called Horst. In 1978 he founded Aveda, a natural cosmetics company. He later sold the Aveda brand to Estee Lauder and stayed on as a consultant until 2003. He launched Intelligent Nutrients as a certified-organic company in his continuing quest to formulate cutting edge products that intersect at the point where health meets beauty.
